music videos

Fan-based music videos editing may be another emergent media trend spawned by the Internet. Recently, a Brooklyn band called Mudville issued a call, via the Internet for fans to create music videos based on the band's song, "Joy" from their just-released album entitled, Iris Nova. PRWeb, an online press outlet, recently profiled the new software application that allows fans to create music videos for their favorite bands. According to the article posted on November 7th, "Fan Based Music Video Editing New York, NY. Online social networking has become a necessary tool for bands to communicate with their fans. New web-based video editing sites such as JayCut.com are expanding the ways fans can interact with their favorite bands by offering a platform for fan-generated music videos." Think about that. How cool would it be to have the opportunity to make music videos and put that music video online for the band to see and for other fans to enjoy. JayCut now provides a place for music fans to post all of the music, concert videos, pictures and other materials they have and combine them into a music video without owning editing software themselves.
